Born 1983 in the Netherlands, Aki grew up in different countries and continents, including Amsterdam, Paris, Yokohama, California and New York. Looking back on her childhood, Aki feels fortunate to have parents who took her to local museums to get exposed to Art from an early age. She went on to studying painting at the School of Visual Arts in New York, earning BFA in Illustration in 2005. Aki currently lives and works as Illustrator and Painter in Tokyo.
